CJ Lang and Son Limited - Longtown Distribution Centre has won a Gold Medal award for achieving 6 consecutive Gold Awards in the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards.

The Gold Medal award was presented at a ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel, on Thursday 15th September 2016.

The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “To win an award at such a highly regarded event as the RoSPA Awards is a great achievement for our winners.
