FORRES ACADEMY CHEER AFTER A DONATION FROM SPAR KINLOSS

The Forres Academy’s Cheerleader Club benefited from a generous donation of £340 from their local store SPAR Kinloss. The money was used to buy the team new training t-shirts. The funds donated to the group were generated through the sale of the stores single use carrier bags where customers are charged 5p per bag. All the funds collected are donated back into the local communities.

Ann Rositer a Teacher from Forres Academy said ‘Forres Academy is over the moon at receiving new training tops for all of the Cheerleading Club girls at the school.  Having the T-shirts gives them a team identity for training and when representing the school.  We are most appreciative of the support given by SPAR Kinloss and also the interest the ladies showed when they presented the girls with the T-Shirts’ and applauded when the girls showed a few of their routines.’

The Cheerleading Club meets every Thursday where the girls train hard during the year to put on a display for the sports day.  They have also performed at previous school Sport Awards, the local Dallas Village Gala and may well be involved in other displays this year if time and conditions permits.  Opportunities are also given to the girls to take various qualifications in the sport in the hope that as they move into senior school they can help with the delivery and running of the club.
