The Company were first accredited by ISM (as it was known then) in 1995 to run the Certificate in Management programme, prior to that a private provider in a residential setting delivered this training.

The first programme run by the Company started in October 1995 and has seen many changes taking place since then. Such as, The Institute for Supervision and Management (ISM) merging with NEBS Management to form a new body called the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM). On 25th June 2003 CJ Lang & Son were accredited to run the ILM Level 3 Introductory Certificate and Certificate in First Line Management having successfully mapped their way across from being an ISM accredited centre.

Then again in 2007 when a new design of the qualification was introduced in ‘unit-based’ format to satisfy UK credit based framework requirements and customer preferences.

2010/2011 saw C J Lang run their ILM programmes under this new format for the first time. All ‘units’ are of a highly practical nature, which ensures that candidates can relate their learning back directly to their workplace and makes the benefits twofold.

This year saw us not only running a full Level 3 Certificate Programme for six candidates, an Award Programme at Level 3 for 21 candidates and, with the increased flexibility of being ‘unit’ based’, we were also able to assist six further candidates interested in gaining an individual Certificate of Unit Credit to gain an accredited qualification.
