LUNCARTY SOCCER SCHOOL SCORE WITH SPAR SCOTLAND

Date Published:

The SPAR store in Luncarty has donated a very generous sum of £600 to their local youth football team, Luncarty FC Soccer School. SPAR Luncarty has sponsored the team using funds raised from the sale of single- use carrier bags, which since October 2014 has cost customers 5p per bag.

Luncarty Soccer School was started up this year by a group of parents looking to provide a fun environment for kids to learn and enjoy the game. It runs on a Tuesday night and Saturday morning, there are around 40 children at present. We also have teams from the soccer school who play in the fun 4s and super 5s at Perth High School on Sunday mornings.

Shaun Ewart a representative of the soccer school said “With the generous support of the Luncarty SPAR store we have been able to purchase football strips, training balls and goals for the soccer school. Luncarty has a great community and we are glad the SPAR is playing their part in helping to bring kids together to have fun.”

Fiona Innes, SPAR Luncarty manager added “we are more than happy to support one of our local teams. Hopefully it will help encourage more local kids to get involved, have fun and get active.”
