All pupils at Parkhead Primary, Polbeth Nursery and St Mary’s RC in Polbeth received a fresh fruit bag courtesy of SPAR Polbeth Service Station.
The store arranged for the fruit bags to be delivered directly to the schools on Thursday 19th December to promote their Healthy Living campaign, and to also increase awareness in the local community of the fresh fruit and vegetables available at their local SPAR.

Jackie Aitken, Depute Head of Parkhead Primary, said “The fruit bags were very well received by the children, and the parents were delighted with this initiative.”

The newly developed store offers customers an extensive new range of products and services, including a large chilled section, £1 Value and Boghall’s award winning pies. Customers also have full use of the new seating area, where they can relax with a Costa Coffee, free WiFi and phone charging.
