Dundee Rugby Club recently benefited from a generous £1000 donation from SPAR stores in Dundee area.  Owned and operated by CJ Lang and Son Limited, the SPAR stores donated the money from the funds raised through the sale of single use carrier bags.

Dundee Rugby are a community club providing rugby to over 100 boys and girls aged between S1 and U18 from Dundee and Angus. They have just achieved Tier 3 status from SRU and are the first team in Angus and Tayside to ever achieve this.

Ben Dunn, Chairman for Dundee Rugby said: “We want to thank SPAR for the very generous donation of £1000 and now being a part of our rugby family, promoting the opportunity for all kids to enjoy this great sport. The kind donation has gone towards funding our strips and will be worn with pride over the next two years in our Conference and at Cup competitions all over the north east of Scotland.”

Clare Narey, Area Manager for SPAR Scotland said: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity to support a local sports club. Hopefully this will help encourage more local kids to get involved, have fun and get active. The Rugby Club is a fantastic club and we wish them all the best for the future.”
