Throughout March, SPAR Scotland owned and operated by CJ Lang and Son Ltd, was proud to support Marie Curie charity including taking part in Great Daffodil Appeal with the sale of pin badges. Staff members at our stores organised activities such as: dress yellow for the day where everyone was encouraged to come to work wearing yellow, raffles, tombola’s, bake sales and entertainment. With the fantastic effort, an incredible £2021.68 was raised.

Marie Curie is the leading charity providing care to people with any terminal illness in their own homes or in one of its nine hospices. The charity is also a leader in research into the best ways of caring for people with a terminal illness.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is Marie Curie’s biggest annual fundraising campaign.

Seonaigh Paterson, at Marie Curie said: “A huge thanks to all staff and customers for your support during our Great Daffodil Appeal. It’s been great to see so much enthusiasm – some of you really did pull out all the stops to make the most of your fundraising opportunities. All the money raised through this partnership will help terminally ill people in your local communities, so please do keep up the good work!”
