SPAR SCOTLAND SUPPORTS REDBURN SCHOOL CHARITY

SPAR Abronhill, owned and operated by CJ Lang and Son Limited has recently donated a generous £1,500 to Redburn School charity.

The money was raised through the sale of single use carrier bags, which since October 2014 cost customers 5p per bag.

Redburn School caters for pupils who have a wide range of abilities and needs. The staff works as a team to provide for these individuals and their complex needs in an atmosphere that is relaxed and encouraging. Pupils are valued as individuals with emotional, physical and social, as well as educational needs.

Their concern for the whole child in the context of the school, the home and the community is reflected in the work of the Parent Council and the Parent support group who, over the last few years, have raised considerable funds to support additional learning experiences.

Nicola Lavery, Head Teacher for Redburn School said, “The impact of receiving this money will be extremely positive on supporting our children and young people to develop skills from learning life and work which they will need if they are to succeed and take a full part in society”.
