SPAR Lochwinnoch owned and operated by CJ Lang and Son Limited has recently donated a generous £1,500 to their local charity - St Vincent Hospice.

The money was raised through the sales of single- use carrier bags, which is costing shoppers 5p per bag.

St Vincent’s Hospice cares for local people affected by life limiting illness. Their dedicated staff provides care, support guidance to all their patients.

David Cunningham, Area Manager for SPAR Scotland said, “The staff of our Lochwinnoch store had nominated St Vincent’s Hospice because of work of the Hospice in the local area.  We are delighted to be able to donate the money to this worthwhile cause from the carrier bag funds.”

Carol-Anne Lamont, who collected the cheque on behalf of the hospice, said: “We are hugely grateful to everyone involved for the donation and would like to thank staff and customers of the store for thinking of St Vincent’s Hospice. These funds will be used to support our work both at the hospice and in the community.”
