SPAR Keith owned and operated by CJ Lang and Son Limited has recently donated a generous £500 to their local charity – Sunshine Developmental Playground.

The money was raised through the sales of single-use carrier bags, which is costing shoppers 5p per bag.

Sunshine Developmental Group is a registered charity set up in 1985 by a local GP who recognised the need for a service to help young people (aged 0-5 years) with developmental needs in the Keith District. Sunshine is committed to providing and maintaining a quality service for the children within the group in a stimulating and safe environment, which conforms to the relevant health and safety legislation and meets the standards set out by the Care Inspectorate.

Patricia Grant, SPAR Keith Store Manager, said: “The staff at SPAR Keith was delighted to give the £500 cheque to such a worthy cause in our local area”.
