SPAR Condorrat celebrated its 50th anniversary with a huge instore event on Saturday 3rd June.

SPAR Condorrat opened 50 years ago in the Cumbernauld area. The family store has been so successful that it is now one of the longest serving independent SPAR retailers in Scotland.

SPAR Condorrat provides a comprehensive range of products and services to shoppers in the local area. The store has been completely refitted and offers an excellent range of licensed products, all the essential food and drink items, plus a selection of services including Paypoint, lottery, ATM, Evri and Snappy Shopper. The store also has a huge choice in food-to-go including Tchibo coffee, Rollover hotdogs, a Slushee machine, Country Choice in-store bakery and foodservice products and coming soon is a Tango Ice Blast machine.

The SPAR store in the town of Condorrat in Cumbernauld is owned and operated by Clyne Condorrat, a third-generation partnership of independent retailers: Wendy Stephen, Nicola McKay and Neil Clyne. The trio have been running the store since 2012. 

Celebrations were in full swing at the store on Saturday with dancing, games, and family fun activities. The newly re-fitted store had face painting, glitter hair stands, and candy floss for children and for those adults who are young at heart! A live DJ played, and customers could sample an array of products throughout the day. Customers were also given the opportunity to win 2x £50 SPAR gift vouchers and a 24" Toshiba smart HD TV. One hundred SPAR goody bags were given out to lucky shoppers. The store also had a number of special offers available on a host of essential food and drink items to help celebrate the occasion.

SPAR Condorrat is located on 3 Main Road, Condorrat, Cumbernauld G67 4BT. The store employs twenty-four local people and is open Monday to Saturday 6.30am - 10pm and Sunday 8am until 10pm.
